Welcome back, friends! I hope you’re gearing up for the holidays. We are in full swing of holiday movies, decor, and music in our household. We’re also working on finding new holiday traditions for our little family. This year is the first time that Chris and I will be waking up together in our house for Christmas, so I’m excited about the opportunity to start new traditions of our own.
Growing up is wild because you get excited about things like vacuums and new dishes. I’ve had a few IG followers ask me what’s on my wishlist, so I’m sharing my Grown-Up Christmas List *enter Kelly Clarkson* with you today.
I’ve had my eye on a Dyson for so long. I want to buy one this year, but I’m trying to stick to my other financial goals first, so it might be put on the back burner. So, for now, it will stick on my grown-up Christmas list. I want the animal version, but if Santa is bringing it, beggars can’t be choosers, you know? I’m definitely not expecting this one, but it’s nice to dream.
I’ve wanted some wireless headphones for some time now, and after trying Chris’ Airpod Pros I knew I wanted some of my own. I’ve heard great things about them, and I loved the noise cancellation. These would be great for my runs, doing stuff while I’m at the barn or my favorite-podcast walks!
I never thought I’d be asking for horse stuff again for Christmas, but here we are. I miss having my own grooming tote and using items that I know are clean and cared for. I currently ride at a lesson barn, and with so many students cycling in and out, it’s hard for things to go back where they belong or stay clean. So I plan to fill this up with my own goodies for grooming.
I love a good salad, and eventually, I’ll be going back into the office more frequently and will need to pack my lunch again. I love how this keeps your dressings and toppings separate, but it’s still all one container.
Skinnytaste Fast and Slow Cookbook
This is pretty self-explanatory, but y’all know Chris and I are living life on the go right now. Between full-time jobs, me in grad school, Chris trying to build a side business, and this blog, we’re busy folks. Anything that makes cooking easier and convenient is a win in my book. This cookbook includes quick-fix meals and slow cooker recipes, both of which are perfect for those of us who are busy.
As a kid I hated long sleeve shirts and now I can’t get enough of them. It’s getting cold, but I’ve started to love running (gasp), and I want to continue as the temperature drops. I also love a good podcast walk, so long sleeve running shirts will be helpful for both. Plus, these will come in handy during early morning rides at the barn.
Mented Cosmetics Semi-Matte Lipstick
We stan a black girl friendly nude lipstick and I’ve been on the hunt for one. Mented Cosmetics is a black-owned cosmetics line and I’ve heard nothing but good things about their lipsticks, so I asked for one of these with the matching lip liner.
Various Gift Cards
AirBnB, Sephora, Target, Amazon, Backcountry, Chewy, restaurant gift cards, etc. You can never go wrong with a gift card, especially gift cards that are specific to places they frequent or have items they like.
